Create your own cherry pie filling to use in your cherry baked goods. Nothing is better than homemade.

Make this filling any time of year to improve your baked treats, it's easier than you may think!

– Cherries – Water – Sugar – Cornstarch – Lemon juice


In a saucepan over medium-high heat bring the cherries and ¼ cup water to a boil then continue to cook until the cherries are soft and releasing juices.


Then mix the cornstarch/water slurry into the cherries, stirring continuously.


Next, stir in the sugar, the mixture should thicken quickly.


Now remove it from the heat and taste it. If it’s too sweet add in the lemon juice.
