Ingredients

  • 12 Pretzel rods
  • 2 lbs Melting chocolate/candy
  • 24 Candy eyes
  • Candy corn

Instructions

  • Line your kitchen counter with wax paper.
  • Cut the yellow and white ends off of 12 candy corn. You will need one for each pretzel turkey. Set aside the orange candy corn pieces.
  • Melt ½ lb of melting chocolate according to the package instructions.
  • Use the backside of a spoon to smear 1 tsp of melted chocolate in a circle on the wax paper.
  • Quickly arrange candy corn (8 candy corn pieces per chocolate circle) on top of the chocolate circle, leaving room for the pretzel rod. Repeat until you have 12 feather sets for your 12 turkeys.
  • Melt ½ lb of melting chocolate and transfer to a heat-safe glass or mug. Dip pretzel rods in the chocolate, covering half of the rod.
  • Use a butter knife to distress the chocolate so it looks turkey-like.
  • Place two eyes and a turkey beak on the pretzel rod. Allow to dry on wax paper. Repeat until you have finished preparing 12 pretzel turkey bodies.
  • Spoon 1 tsp of the remaining chocolate into the center of each feather set.
  • Place the turkey body on top of the chocolate. Allow the chocolate turkey to dry completely then remove it from the wax paper.
