Tips For Cleaning A Misto Oil Sprayer
If you’re having a hard time using your Misto or you’re noticing that it’s not as effective as it once was, it’s time to take it apart and start the cleaning process.
Below you’ll find the steps that you need to take to effectively clean a Misto Oil Sprayer.
- Make certain that any oil that is in the Misto is dumped out and it’s empty.
- Add in a bit of vinegar (about 1/3 of a cup) to the Misto and spray that through until it’s all out.
- Use about a cup (or a little bit less) of hot water and a squirt of dish soap and pour that into your Misto.
- Spray that through until the mixture is done as well.
- After you’re certain that there isn’t any soap left, fill it again with hot water and spray that out, too. (You actually may need to do that a couple of times to get the soap out of the sprayer.)
There are also directions that come with the owner’s manual as well that might give other options if the above cleaning steps aren’t working.
Some people do report problems with the pump being clogged and when that happens the best thing to do is take apart the oil sprayer and try to soak the clogged parts in hot water.
By doing this, it may dissolve or help to soften up whatever is clogging it up and become unclogged easily that way.
