How many servings does one batch make?

Each batch of this recipe will make pretty many servings, I’d say between 12 and 15 depending on the size of your servings.

Once you see how easy it is to make you’ll probably want to make a double batch anyway. It’s going to be devoured so feel free to just double up the batch from the start!

This sweet treat is great to set out on holiday grazing tables so you don’t have to worry about cooking or baking while still providing a sweet treat.

Is this a gluten free dessert recipe?

This recipe actually uses a yellow cake mix so it’s not naturally gluten free. You can substitute in a gluten free cake mix that you like and that should take care of the gluten in the recipe as long as you serve it up with gluten free options for dipping.

There are tons of great options out there for keto, diary free, gluten free and more in the baking aisle now so use whatever kind of cake mix you want and the results will be great!

Can I make this recipe in advance?

I would say you can easily make this the night before you need it but I wouldn’t make it super far in advance.

I would also think that it’s totally fine if you want to make a batch and have it sit in the fridge overnight, wait to top it with sprinkles until you are ready to serve it though to keep the color from soaking in and turning the green dip an odd color.

You can’t really freeze this particular recipe. Make it the day before or the day you need it and make sure to give it a good stir if it has to sit for a while before you serve your Grinch dessert dip.

Top with the heart shaped sprinkles before presenting it and you’ll be all set.

Kitchen essentials for tasty no bake recipes:

When you head into the kitchen to make some of these great recipes you’ll want to have the best tools on hand.

Of course mixing bowls, a mixerspatula, and some whisks should be on your list if you don’t have ones that you love. I also like to have a set of cooling racks so that my recipes can properly cool before they’re scarfed down by my family!

I like these casserole dishes from Pyrex which are great for no bake recipes and for all your favorite dinners, brownies, cakes, and more.

You can’t go wrong with some good sharp knives and a cutting board. They will always come in handy in the kitchen for recipes of any kind, even desserts!

How to make this easy Grinch themed dessert:

You will see that we start by heat treating the cake mix because it’s not going to be cooked otherwise. You need to do this with any recipe that uses flour or cake mixes that won’t go into the oven. It helps to kill any bacteria and keeps the recipe safe to eat without cooking it afterward!

Other than that there’s nothing out of the ordinary happening in this recipe which means that everyone gets to enjoy a simple, delicious dessert dip that’s perfectly festive.
