Sure! Double check your caramels for these almond bark dipped pretzels and be sure to use gluten free pretzels but apart from that you shouldn’t have any trouble.

This is a great treat that you can make gluten free so that anyone can enjoy them. I always use the gluten free pretzels from Walmart but they are available pretty much everywhere and Snyder’s of Hanover makes a good gluten free mini pretzel option as well.

This recipe uses pretzel twists, vanilla creme soft caramels, chocolate almond bark, white almond bark, and a little bit of coconut oil. 

That’s all it takes, just four simple ingredients, and you will have a great treat that is awesome for the holidays or just an anytime snack. It’s a great way to make a dessert that travels well! Keep these in mind if you have to head out on the road for the holidays and want to bring something that won’t melt or get weird while you are traveling.

How to make almond bark dipped pretzels:

This recipe is super easy and once you’ve done it a time or two you won’t even need the recipe. Unwrap caramels and gently flatten them slightly

Melt chocolate almond bark with coconut oil and stir until smooth

Place one caramel on top of one pretzel

Dip in chocolate to cover completely, shake off excess chocolate

Place on wax paper lined tray and top with one regular pretzel twist

Repeat this process until all caramels are used

Ingredients

  • About 40 twist pretzels, 2 for each treat
  • 20 Werther’s Vanilla Creme soft caramels, one per treat
  • 2 oz chocolate almond bark + ½ teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 oz white almond bark

Instructions

  1. Unwrap caramels and gently flatten them slightly
  2. Melt chocolate almond bark with coconut oil and stir until smooth
  3. Place one caramel on top of one pretzel
  4. Dip in chocolate to cover completely, shake off excess chocolate
