Can I change the toppings on these pizza tater tots?

Keep in mind that you can tweak this recipe to fit what you need and like. You can add toppings or take them away. Swap out the meats and types of cheese. It’s up to you.

I like to use simple ingredients so things aren’t too fussy but you could add different cheese or more cheese, you could also swap out the pepperoni for sausage, bacon, or just about anything else you can think of throwing on a pizza.

Feel free to add things like mushrooms, peppers, olives, etc. if you have adventurous eaters who like more interesting toppings on their pizza!

What will I need to make a pizza casserole with tater tots?

As written, keep in mind the substitutions I mentioned above, you will need frozen tater tots, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. That’s it!

It doesn’t take much to throw this one together and it is 100% easier than making homemade pizzas. A lot ess cleaning up, too.

Keep an eye on your tater tots to make sure they’re not hiding any gluten but for the most part this recipe should be gluten free as written which is nice if you have allergies or sensitivities to deal with.

Kitchen essentials for tasty recipes for dinner:

When you head into the kitchen to make some of these great recipes you’ll want to have the best tools on hand.

I like half sheet baking pans that are quality (hello no noisy pops or sloshed cookie dough from twisting), I line my cookie sheets with silicone baking mats. These are great for all kinds of baking and not just cookies! My husband loves them for making biscuits, pizzas, and more!

Of course mixing bowls, a mixerspatula, and some whisks should be on your list for cooking must haves. I also like to have a set of cooling racks so that my recipes can properly cool before they’re scarfed down by my family!
