Can I prep this casserole in advance?
You can definitely prep this recipe in advance. My tater tot casserole recipe is great to make ahead of time and since most tater tots are frozen when you buy them you can even make this casserole and freeze it.
Just pop it in the oven when you are needing a quick dinner and then all the hard work is done in advance.
Is it possible to use ground turkey in this tater tot casserole recipe?
Really you can use whatever kind of ground meat you have on hand, it will be delicious either way. Sloppy Joe’s are typically made with ground beef but the flavor goes great with ground turkey, or even ground chicken.
