These mashed potatoes are so delicious. They’re almost like a loaded mashed potatoes recipe but a little less intense. Ruby Tuesday Mashed Potatoes go with everything. The list of ingredients for these delicious Ruby Tuesday mashed potatoes is quite simple. These are all ingredients you can grab at any grocery store or use your grocery pickup option to have these ingredients added to your next pickup.
- Red potatoes,
- Milk
- Butter or margarine
- White cheddar cheese, grated
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Dried parsley or 2 teaspoons fresh, chopped parsley
- White pepper to taste
I like to use red potatoes for this recipe because they’re soft and the creamy texture is perfect for this Ruby Tuesday mashed potatoes recipe. If you wan to substitute potatoes that you have on hand that would probably be fine but might change the texture a bit, just so you know before you try!
How to make Ruby Tuesday mashed potatoes recipe:
There’s not much in the way of complex steps here…this is an easy copycat recipe that the whole family loves. The great thing about these Ruby Tuesday mashed potatoes is that they go with everything and make great leftovers. Though, to be honest, we don’t usually have a lot of leftovers with this recipe!
- In a saucepan, cover potatoes with water. Bring to a boil and then reduce temperature to a simmer. Simmer potatoes 15 minutes or until fork tender. Drain potatoes and place in mixer with flat beater.
- In a saucepan, combine milk and butter. Heat over medium heat until butter is melted.
- ‘Smash’ potatoes in mixer until smooth. Slowly add warmed milk mixture.
- Add cheese. Season with onion powder, salt, and parsley (Reserve some parsley for the top.). Add white pepper to taste.
- Top with the reserved parsley and serve!
Are these garlic mashed potatoes?
These Ruby Tuesday mashed potatoes do have a garlic flavor but it’s not overwhelming. If you are not a fan of garlic I think you could still enjoy these potatoes. If you have picky eaters you can adjust the garlic to your liking…and add more cheese if you like 🙂
