Can I substitute something else for the green beans?

You can substitute any similar vegetable in for the green beans. use whatever is fresh in the garden or looked good at the farmers market.

Some smaller vegetables or more delicate vegetables won’t work as well because they will overcook. Try and use something that is similar to green beans or make sure your pieces of vegetable are larger so they take the same amount of time to cook!

Asparagus is a good choice, larger pieces of peppers are nice, and even snap peas can work. Carrots cut to size will be tasty and you can even do a mixture of vegetables for a variety of choices depending on what your family enjoys.

Will this sheet pan meal work with other meats?

We have done sheet pan dinners with chicken breasts, chicken legs and thighs, and other meats but you have to make sure the cooking time stays similar to your vegetables.

If the cooking time for meat is higher than your veggies and potatoes just reduce the size of the portions so it can cook more evenly!
