Making casserole recipes is not just easy, it’s also convenient and budget friendly. Casseroles are great for busy weeknights, holidays, and more!
When I have some time I put together a few of these casseroles so that I can place a few into the freezer. Having a few on hand means that we never have an excuse to not eat something wholesome and delicious here at home.
Another great reason to have a few of these casserole recipes made up in advance is for gifting! It never fails, there is always someone in our life that could benefit from a home cooked meal and the relief of not having to cook one themselves.
Casseroles make a great gift for those going through a tough time, someone who just needs a break from the kitchen, and even loved ones who are feeling under the weather.
What you might not think of is trying new casserole recipes right? You have a few tried and true staple recipes on hand that you use over and and over again. If you are tired of your usual casseroles give some of these a try.

Can all casseroles be frozen?
You will have to use your best judgement on that one. Not all casseroles will reheat with ease, some will have textures or flavors that are slightly off. I usually try and make sure that if I’m going to freeze a casserole I slightly undercook any pasta or hearty veggies.
When you reheat the casserole they’ll have a chance to finish cooking and it will help keep the correct texture in tact.
Another tip is to keep a bit of broth on hand when you are reheating casseroles. You can add some to help keep them from being dried out.
